‘Rebel Wilson’ to star in ‘Rebels’ sequel

New Line Cinema is bringing a new film to theaters and will have a female superhero in the sequel.
“Rebels” 2, directed by Andrew W.K. and starring Olivia Munn, will hit theaters on November 13.
“We’re excited to be teaming up with a new and talented actress, who has made her mark in the industry,” New Line’s Amy Pascal said in a statement.
“I’m looking forward to her being a hero in the film as well as on our screen.”
“Rebel” will be Wknd’s third feature film and he previously starred in the sci-fi comedy “Fantastic Four,” which won an Oscar for Best Picture in 2014.
He is repped by CAA, CAA and attorney Mark Kram.
“A New Day” will premiere on December 9.
“Lucky,” starring Tom Hanks and Kristen Wiig, will also debut on December 11.
The movie has been in development for several years.
It was originally set for release in 2019, but it was postponed to 2018.
