When a female minister is dressed up as a cowboy
Posted November 21, 2018 07:16:46 Female ministers are being treated as royalty by some Afghan women, as they have been invited to perform at a country music festival, the BBC reports.
The Afghan Ministry of Culture said in a statement that female ministers should not be considered as equals.
Instead, they should be treated as ambassadors for their country.
The country is looking for female ministers to perform and give speeches in the country’s largest music festival.
Women from different ethnic groups and cultures have also been invited.
One woman has been chosen as the countrys most important female minister.
Her role has been described as a “high profile” one, and the Ministry of the Interior said in the statement that she will also help the government promote Afghan culture.
Female ministers in Afghanistan traditionally wear traditional dresses and headdresses, with a number of them wearing gold jewellery.
